As the CEO of Psoriasis Australia Inc., Murray Turner is responsible for running all facets of the business and is a psoriasis suffering himself. Murray has over 20 years of experience in senior management roles in the corporate and not for profit sectors. Prior to joining Psoriasis Australia, Murray was Director of Equal Action, where he worked with a number of organisations such as Tennis Australia, Tennis Victoria, Swimming Victoria, Gymnastics Victoria, Football Federation Victoria, VicHealth, Department of Health and Human Services and Blind Sports Victoria to name a few. Previously, he served as Executive Officer of VICSRAPID, where he was responsible for running all facets of the business. Murray also spent 5 years working for a top tier legal firm representing some of Australia’s top 20 companies where he worked on large scale litigation including shareholder class actions, international environment disasters, contract disputes, and the sale of some iconic Australia brands. He has also worked the Royal Commission into the Building and Construction Industry and Royal Commission into HIH Insurance.
He has served as a delegate to the Victorian and Australian Olympic Committee, and the International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Association, where he also served as a member of its Governance Review Panel. Murray was a member of the 2010 Olympic Winter Games Team in Vancouver, Canada.
Murray has a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and is an Australian Lawyer admitted to practice law in Victoria. He also holds a Master of Business (Sport Management), Graduate Diploma in Sport Management and Bachelor of Arts (Recreation). He is married with two daughters aged 8 and 10, one with Down syndrome.
