About Psoriasis Australia
In 1986 a small self-help group was formed after a public meeting took place. The group was registered as an incorporated body and became the Psoriasis Association of Victoria Inc. Over 19 years the Association held regular public meetings with guest speakers and produced newsletters that have kept members informed of the latest treatments and give the opportunity to share tips and provide encouragement.
The first 30 years of the Association was led by Helen Bastian and a small volunteer team based in Ashburton, Victoria. Today, the new committee are based in Carlton, Victoria.
Psoriasis Australia’s mission is to be a valuable source of information and support to people with psoriasis in Australia, to ensure we are at the forefront of the latest psoriasis developments and have a team capable of providing information and support to our growing membership. We aim to drive efforts to cure psoriasis and improve the lives of those affected.
